We Are What We Speak (Sunday Sermon)

Hymn: Blessed Assurance (chorus)
"This is my story, this is my song, praising my savior all the day long. This is my story, this si my song, praising my Savior all the day long."

-------------------------
Your Grace is Enough (Chris Tomlin)

Great is Your faithfulness oh God
You wrestle with the sinner's heart
You lead us by still waters in to mercy
And nothing can keep us apart

So remember Your people
Remember Your children
Remember Your promise
Oh God

Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough for me

Great is Your love and justice God
You use the weak to lead the strong
You lead us in the song of Your salvation
And all Your people sing along

So remember Your people
Remember Your children
Remember Your promise
Oh God

Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough for me [x2]

So remember Your people
Remember Your children
Remember Your promise
Oh God

Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough for me

Your grace is enough
Heaven reaching down on us
Your grace is enough for me
God I see your grace is enough
I'm covered in your love
Your grace is enough for me
For me

------------------------------
whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing hen the evening comes
`Blesss the Lord, Oh My Soul'

-------------------------

Crazy......the Lord has been speaking the word, "Grace", to me for days, weeks even......and now we've had a sermon on it. I wasn't "quite" the crazy note-taker, but really felt the Spirit impressing on me to *really* pay attention. Bringing to my heart/mind areas I could be showing a little (okay, a LOT) more grace.

WE ARE WHAT WE SPEAK

B.)  Ephesians 4:29 Build up, give grace
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
***Is it good, is it necessary, is it kind?***

-Corrupt is difficult to define
-The opposite is easier
     1. Is it good? Not bad doesn't make it good.
     2. Is it kind? \
                      -A host of scriptures
     3. Is it edifying?
to instruct or benefit, especially morally or spiritually; uplift:Words CAN hurt
          Proverbs 18:21 "the powerful tool"
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
     4. Does it impart grace?
          GRACE: Unmerited favor
                          (Undeserved)
Blessing, grace, life, hope
          1Peter 4:10
               We steward grace

Lord, help me to choose my words wisely
